Getting started

This guide walks you through setting up your Keeal account so you can receive payments and get paid. Follow these steps in order.

Step 1: Create your account

  1. Go to the Keeal sign-up page (from the main website or your invite link).
  2. Enter your email address. Use the email you’ll use for your account and support.
  3. Create a password. Use a strong, unique password (mix of letters, numbers, symbols).
  4. Click Sign up (or Create account).
  5. You may be asked to verify your email right away—check your inbox (and spam) for a link or code.

Why we need your email: We use it to sign you in, send receipts and alerts, and contact you about your account and payouts.

Step 2: Verify your email

  1. Check the email we sent after sign-up.
  2. Click the verification link in the email, or enter the code we sent into the box on the screen.
  3. If you don’t see the email:
    • Check spam and promotions.
    • Add our domain to your safe senders list.
    • In the dashboard, look for Resend verification email or Verify email and request a new link/code.

You must verify your email before you can complete onboarding and receive payouts.

Step 3: Complete onboarding

After you sign in, you’ll see the dashboard. If your account isn’t fully set up, you’ll see a prompt like Complete onboarding or Finish setup.

  1. Click Complete onboarding (or go to Onboarding in the sidebar).

  2. You’ll be asked for:

    Personal / legal details

    • Legal name – Your full legal name (as on your ID).
    • Address – Full address (street, city, country, postal code).
    • Keeal supports personal accounts only (individuals and contractors).

    Identity verification

    • We use a trusted third-party provider. You’ll be asked to:
      • Upload a government-issued ID (passport or driver’s license). Make sure the image is clear and all corners are visible.
      • Sometimes take a selfie or confirm your face matches the ID.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions. Verification can take from a few minutes to a couple of business days depending on your region.

    Payout method

    • Bank account – You’ll enter your bank details (account number, routing number or equivalent, account holder name). This is where we send your money.
    • Or another supported payout method if offered in your region.
  3. Review everything and click Submit (or Finish).

  4. We’ll review your application. When approved, you’ll be able to receive payouts. We’ll notify you by email or in the dashboard.

Detailed walkthrough: See Onboarding & verification for what to prepare, how long it takes, and what to do if something fails.

Step 4: Verify your phone (if required)

In some regions we ask for phone verification.

  1. Enter your phone number (with country code).
  2. We send an SMS or call with a code.
  3. Enter the code in the dashboard.
  4. If you don’t receive it, check the number and request Resend code. Allow a few minutes and check for carrier delays.

Once onboarding is complete (or in progress, depending on your account), you can start getting paid.

Option A: Invoice

  1. In the sidebar, click Invoices.
  2. Click Create invoice or New.
  3. Fill in client name, client email, and optional address.
  4. Add line items: description, quantity, unit price. You can add tax per line if needed.
  5. Set due date and any notes or terms.
  6. Click Save to keep a draft, or Send to email the invoice to the client. You can also copy the view link and share it yourself.

Option B: Payment link

  1. In the sidebar, click Payment links.
  2. Click Create or New payment link.
  3. Set amount (or allow the payer to enter an amount), currency, and description.
  4. Save and copy the link. Share it by email, chat, or social—anyone with the link can pay.

Full details: Invoices and Payment links.

What happens after a client pays?

  1. Payment succeeds – The money is added to your earnings.
  2. Earnings are grouped into settlements (batches) on a schedule.
  3. When a settlement is cleared, we create a payout and send the money to your bank account (or other payout method).

You can see all of this in Dashboard, Earnings, Transactions, and Payouts in the sidebar.
